The local hardness map of hammerhead ribozyme (PDB ID: 301D). Units are in kT/e (T=300K). Calculations were performed using the PM3 Hamiltonian and a buffer/matrix cutoff of 8/9 Å. Bound Mg ²⁺ ions were excluded from the calculation.
